QUESTIONS
Why should I buy Divine’s Handmade Soap when I can buy soaps in the store for less?
Yes. That is a good question. Divines’ Handmade soap contains glycerin which is a natural byproduct of the soap making process, an excellent moisturizer.Commercial soaps are mass-produced. Most of them have no glycerin but are laced with chemical additives that can leave your skin feeling dry and irritable.
HOW LONG DOES A BAR OF SOAP LAST?
It depends on how it is used. Kept dry between uses your soap will last a long time. All handcrafted soaps should be stored on a well-ventilated soap saver or soap dish. We have some in our soap department.
HOW TO STORE SOAP IN BETWEEN USES?
Let your soap dry out between uses,by placing your soap on a dish with drainage. You can also use a soap saver to further extend the soap’s lather.
MY SOAP SEEMS TO HAVE LOST ITS BEAUTIFUL FRAGRANCE
The scent of soaps made with essential oils will fade with time. This is natural and is an indication that you have purchased a truly natural product. We recommend you use your soaps within a timely manner. If you are using our soaps for drawer fragrance, we suggest rotating the older soaps with a new one and using the older soap by the sink or shower. Water tends to help the soap’s smell “bloom” again.
HOW DO I PRESERVE MY BODY BUTTER?
A good rule of thumb is to store creations out of direct light and where they will not be subject to temperature fluctuations. Some creations—particularly water-based ones—are best stored in the fridge if you intend to keep them around for a while.
CAN I ORDER SOAPS FOR BIRTHDAYS, WEDDINGS, RECEPTIONS, BABY SHOWERS, ETC?
Yes. You may! Contact us at least 2 or 3 months in advance for pricing and options.
MY SOAP HAS ORANGE SPOTS ON IT
Don’t worry. Your soap is still ok to use. The orange spot is a common thing with handmade soap. Your soap may even look dull. It simply means that the oil is degrading. You can cut it off or just leave it and use it as it is. It does not hurt the quality of the product.
